SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | MAY 2021 13
By Vivian Bellini, Resident
Wow, have things changed in the course
of a week or two! Looks like if things go
well our quilting club may get back on track
sooner than we know, and certainly hope
that soon the COVID era will go away or even
disappear!
As I mentioned in the last article in the
View magazine, the Quilt Club had its first
Zoom retreat in March. From our point of
view, it was quite a success. Some of the
quilters that participated, were either in
their own homes alone, and a few others
had generously opened up their places, and
had up to six members, all sewing away
on different projects. We interacted with
the other members to show what we were
working on. Food and drink was shared by
all, especially the delicious cookies, and had
a really good time interacting.
Let me remind you that if all goes well,
we can look forward to welcoming, and
meeting new members and seeing all our
longtime residents, and club members
as well. As we've said before, we are a
really fun, helpful, chatty and friendly
group. Some of us have even gotten
addicted (to quilting). Please check us out,
as we would love to have you join us in the
activities we have planned. You don't have
to be experienced, or even have any sewing
skills to join. We're hoping this has sparked
your interest. Our quilting hours are held in
the Craft Room every Friday, from 9 am to
3 pm. Our meetings are held quarterly, and
plan on a craft show this year to be held on
Oct. 9. For more information on that subject,
