| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2021 | 25 Tennis On a perfect spring day, the Four Seasons Tennis Club held a "Tennis Event" on our courts. The weather was delightful (although a few lobs were grabbed by wind)! Our Event protocol is laid back and intended to promote an interesting commingling of talents and camaraderie. While competition is present,we all want to focus on having fun, and with our group of players that is always achieved. We needed 16 players, eight women and eight men, to comprise eight mixed doubles teams. The teams were determined by blind draw, as were the opposing teams for each match. Many of us ended up playing with a partner for the very first time, and that adds drama! The finalists for the Event are pictured here. Left to right we have the WINNERS, John Tarabochia and Ann Alexander and the runners-up, Cathy Sims and Lorraine Cheung. Ann was also the winner in our last event, held in October, and Cathy was a runner- up in that match as well, each with different partners. That will give you a clue as to how talented they are! If you have been thinking about getting more exercise and getting to know some fun people, Four Seasons Tennis is for you! There are folks on the courts five mornings a week, (not on Wednesdays or Sundays). We are a welcoming group, so don't be shy. Come by to join us, or just watch, and introduce yourself!
