| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JUNE 2021 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA Summer is here! Unfortunately, so is COVID-19. In looking at last year's article, I'm not surprised we are still dealing with the pandemic. At least the number of cases is way down and hopefully when you are reading this, we will have moved into the yellow tier. As a reminder, The Lodge facility including the sport courts and pool area are still only open to registered residents. We will continue to send e-mail blasts regarding The Lodge operations and/or openings of amenities. Information and updates we receive from Riverside University Health will be emailed so residents will have the most current information. In addition, some of the committee meetings are still held via Zoom and some committees are meeting in person while following the current safety guidelines. Getting out of the house for some exercise? Some residents asked me to remind the walkers walking in the streets to be careful in which direction you walk, especially if you're wearing earbuds. I checked the Penal Code and I continue to see residents walking in the streets which I have repeatedly reminded them against doing! Please walk on the sidewalks, not the streets. Congratulations to Roxy Snider and Fred Kydd for being elected to the Board of Directors! You're in for a really interesting experience and we look forward to partnering with you through your journey as a Board Member. Because we want you to "be all you can be," we've enrolled you and the other Board Members into a Board Member "Boot Camp!" It will be a very educational Zoom meeting held by one of the founding partners of our attorney firm. These boot camps are a great source of vital information to assist Board Members in fulfillment of their duties. Thanks again for volunteering to serve the community. As I write this, we have almost 680 ballots for the re-stated CC&R voting process and we hope the results were favorable from the May 26 meeting. Thanks to all of you who sent in the blue envelopes and exercised your right to vote. Have a good June and Happy Father's Day to all the dads, grandpas and great-grandpas. We hope you can safely spend time with your family! RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT: YOUR CLAIM TO FAME. It is amazing the information we learn when reading a person's obituary. So many times we hear the comments about how we wish we knew this information before a person passed. In a community this size, we have an opportunity to meet and get to share common interests with those we may never have met. Please submit a small bio and picture to the Herald (300 word limit) by the 8th of the month. Email submissions to hemetherald@yahoo.com.
