| THE COLONY NEWS | JUNE 2021 | 5 HOA NEWS BOARD LIAISON REPORTS Director Plummer – Emergency Preparedness Committee: Congratulated Jackie Price as the new Chair and Judy King as the new Secretary-Treasurer. Director Brackin – Library Committee: Announced re- opening of the Library. Director Sailer – Finance Advisory Committee: Committee continues to monitor the budget for the current fiscal year and is currently on target. Appreciated Board approval of its newest member, Bob Miller. Landscape Advisory Committee: The G-53 renovation (corner of Colony Drive and Avenida Florita): Reviewing tables and benches. Having difficulty finding multiple bids for pergola. Researching better pricing for trash cans. Also, each member of the LAC walks the community area with Anthony and EC for problem areas to ensure they meet CC&R requirements. The Committee still has two openings. If you are interested, please contact Jane Payne at 909-455-2253. Violations Committee: The number of visitors for March was up 4,000 from the prior month. Garage doors left open – 28, previous month – 48. Parking violations were down 18 from February. Twelve people received trash can violations. Medical and police responses for March were 33. Stop sign violations were down to zero and there were no speeding violations. Director Mitchum – Rules and Regulations Committee: The parking over the line rule will receive a warning for a first offense. The committee is working on the dumpster rule as well as unsightly items rule. Communications Committee: The Committee will be sending out a Digital Census in the near future for resident feedback and will be prototyping a new Colony website as well as community Wi-Fi. Also, there are various requests for digital editing equipment. Vice President Deacon – Sports Courts: The bocce ball court is in disrepair, and Maintenance Supervisor Ken Knapp obtained four proposals to repair and redo cement. Repair to the damaged tennis court fence and pole will begin April 19, 2021. In addition, the sports courts rebar is coming up and must be repaired. President Bowman – June 3, 2021 Golf Course Meeting: A homeowner questioned if residents will be able to attend the June 3 golf course meeting. Residents will be unable to attend as the meeting is between the Attorneys, Receiver and Golf Course Committee. CONSENT AGENDA: Vice President Deacon presented the following Consent Agenda items for Board approval: 1. Approval of March 18, 2021 General Board Minutes 2. Monthly Review of Financials (AB 2912) for February 2021 3. Board Authorization of Transfers and Expenditures over $10,000 (AB 2912) for April 2021 4. Approval of Jackie Price as Chair, Emergency Preparedness Committee (EPC) 5. Approval of Judy King as Secretary-Treasurer, EPC Approved. TREASURER'S REPORT: Chuck Gordon presented the Feb. 28, Unaudited Interim Financial Statements prepared by Associa/PCM. Approved. (See page 6.) NEW BUSINESS: Approval of Pool Pavilion Ballot Mailing: Tabled at this time. Inside Plants Maintenance Agreement Renewal: Inside Plants Maintenance Agreement is due to be renewed, with effective dates of May 1, 2021 through April 30, 2022. They have provided excellent service. Services were scheduled and on time. They provided prompt responses to requests and were flexible with 2020 holiday décor cancellation. Approved agreement for one year at a rate of $482 per month. Communications Committee Recommendations: Tabled discussion on the master computer, repurposed laptop and monitors and Microsoft Office 365 subscription for further research. Paint Book Modification: The Architectural Control Committee is requesting review and approval from the Board of Directors to change accent color #8C Snowbound to Sherwin Williams Warm Stone. The color change will allow homeowners an additional option for an accent color for color scheme #8 and still be able to select Snowbound from the white options. Approved. Additional Front Door and Shutter Colors, ACC: Homeowners have been requesting that additional colors be added to the Colony Paint Book to provide a greater variety of front door and shutter colors. The ACC has approved several new colors they feel will complement the community and give the residents more options. Approved. Meeting highlights continued from previous page
