The themes will focus on historic events, holidays and life before and during the World War II era. The flags are borrowed from the Redlands Hillside Cemetery memorial at the grave markers of the 26 MIA, POW, and KIA veterans whose bodies were not returned to their families. The first venue will coincide with Flag Day and display the evolution of the 28 flags approved by Congress as states joined the Union. The second venue will feature highlights of the 1930s in California as our WWII veterans developed their appreciation of American values.
