We had five very enthusiastic quilters show up — Mary Moody- Cox, Connie Peck (a newbie), Jeri Sorensen, Carol Young, and Pat Byrd. Remember all quilters are invited to the first Sunday of the month meeting. The group talked about working on a project that Jeri Sorensen had brought up at the beginning of 2020, before the shutdown. Everyone expressed what they would like the group to do; among the projects suggested, for example, are pillowcases for the Ronald McDonald House, duffle bags for foster children, receiving blankets for newborn babies, and charity quilts for various organizations. Most everyone voiced their opinions as to wanting to do charity type projects, as well as learning how to make various quilt projects. We will be hosting a Four Seasons Quilt and Handwork show on Nov. 6. We will be talking to the knitting, crocheting, and tatting clubs to see if they would join us in displaying their goods in this joint show. It will be a first and what we hope will become an "Annual Four Seasons Quilt Show." More details to come. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mary, her email address is below and for the subject, please enter "Quilt Show 4 Seasons." We were honored to have one of our members show us two charity quilts that she just recently finished, using various scraps and 2 ½" strips. They are beautiful! Thank you, Jeri, for sharing these.
