FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2021 7 By Cindy Graves Holy moly, things are moving about as fast as the Beaumont winds. At the writing of this article, we are waiting with bated breath for the projected date of June 25 to come and usher Riverside County into the yellow tier. As soon as we hit yellow and the room capacity numbers are lifted back into normal room allowances, I have a list of clubs and groups that will be ready to meet. We have been able to open up for some of our groups and have started doing some more live events, like Gail's Games, karaoke, and dances. This month, we have scheduled the Italian American Group at The Courts where they may be doing some cooking demonstrations. Wine Club is looking to get back into the swing of things this month as well and the Social Committee will be holding their popular Bagels & Paint event to add a new twist to an old painting favorite. Take note of some other planned events. Karaoke will be happening again in The Lodge Ballroom on Saturday, June 5 from 4:30 to 8 pm. If you are singing at Karaoke you must use a "Karaoke Kondum" (or mic-mask) for added protection. You certainly wouldn't want unprotected singing, would you?! Joe Barletta's Trivia Night will be in the Ballroom on Sunday, June 6 at 6:30 pm. There will also be a Country Line Dance on Saturday, June 12 from 5 to 8 pm, led by Martha Franck and Elizabeth Westbrook. The admission is free and you are welcome to order food from the Kopper Kettle and bring in your favorite beverages. Keep in mind that until restrictions are lifted, the rule for large Ballroom events is that masks must be worn in the facility. Tables will be placed six feet apart and there must be no more than six chairs at each table. You may remove your mask while eating and drinking; they must be put back on when you are done. You must wear a mask when dancing. Boy oh boy, we had a great turn out at the last Gail's Games in May with everybody screaming for more. On Friday, June 18, you'll get more, only this time with that cruise ship favorite, "Majority Rules." Come on down and play; it's hilarious and a lot of fun, plus the winning table gets prizes! You're welcome to order food and bring your favorite beverages to this game too. It'll be in The Lodge Ballroom starting at 6 pm; however, you may come at 5 pm to eat first. No price for admission. Amphitheater concerts are back in the planning stages and July 18 will be our very first concert of the year! Stay tuned for more information in next month's Breeze. I've had a lot of questions regarding whether or not we'll have an Association Garage Sale this year. The answer is, I hope so… but the Board feels that we need to be in a place where restrictions have been lifted and where guests are allowed in, to make a community garage sale truly profitable. I will put another proposal to the Board as soon as we meet the criteria and hopefully we'll be given approval to have one. That goes for the ever-loved Craft Fair too. If we don't meet the criteria, I may, however, be able to propose a Fall Craft Fair for residents only. Your best way to get up-to-the minute information on events is the Activities Blast on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays as well as the Daily Report. Have a great June and I'll look forward to seeing you around The Lodge!
