The SDV Pickleball Club held our first 2021 tournament!
Club participants: Sandy King, Kay Grasso, Yolanda Funes,
Mary Ellen Brogdon, Irv Waldo, Mike Hurlock, Bob Porter,
Scott Harrington and Ted Delker. Each playing five rounds.
After five rounds, the top four players in points moved on to
the final championship game. The player with the highest
score (1)Irv and the player with the lowest score (4)Mary
Ellen played against the highest score (2)Bob and (3)Mike.
After the championship game that score is added to their
previous points. Winning the first 2021 SDV Pickleball
Tournament was 1st Place Irv, 2nd Place Bob, 3rd Place Mike
and 4th Place Mary Ellen. Congratulations and thank you
to all the participants and supporters for making this an
incredibly fun morning at the pickleball courts!

SDV Pickleball Club May Tournament

Together, Lifestyle and the Veterans and Friends Club, hosted the Memorial Day events starting with the ceremony in front of the flags.
Residents sang along with the words to the Star Spangled Banner, Tom Carpenter read us some heartfelt words regarding the men and women
who fought to protect our freedom, and Paul Bradstreet sang God Bless America. On the back patio the amazing saxophone player, Jason,
entertained us all while we ate our hot dog lunch under the shade.
The Veterans Club would like to thank everyone for a very successful silent auction which raised over $3,000.
