Sun Lakers at Canyon Lanes
Nobody has more fun than our team on Monday. We joke, laugh, and love to
socialize. Maybe we should try to bowl a little better. We are in last place. We are
starting our sixth week into the Summer League. I can't remember seeing this
many averages over 190. We have 10 bowlers with 190 or better. Great bowling, and
a great job by the crew at Canyon Lanes for taking care of our alleys.
Our first place team is Just Lucky with Marlene Gartman, Michael Cram,
Lawrence Conner and Larry Stormes. Second place is Ageless Wonders with Sue
Torres, Loren Pitz, Jacques Kessee and Jim Edmiston. Third place is In The Hunt
with Don Skaggs, Lil Mclean, Bob Mclean and Mike Sheptenko. Also in third place
is Optimist with Caroline Gagnon, Leo Gagnon, Donna Stephenson and Bonnie
Greene.
The high scores for the season are For the Men; Andy Toro has a Scratch Series
of 759. Lawrence Conner and Tom Keheley have a scratch Game of 268. There are
no Handicap Scores at this time.

There is no activity while the facilities are
closed, but when they reopen… Do you enjoy
playing the billiard game of 8 Ball? If you do, come join us. All Sun
Lakes residents are welcome to practice with us Mondays through
Saturdays. We normally draw for partners at noon, then play to
around 2 pm.
There is no cost to join our group. However, if you elect to join
a team, there is a $15 competition fee per
three-month season. Eight teams compete
every Thursday; four at 9 am and the other four at 1 pm in our
Main Clubhouse Billiards Room. For a fun afternoon of friendly
