"Wimbledon" is the correct answer. The question is "What tennis tournament is often attended by members of the British royalty and is played on grass courts?" "Breakfast at Wimbledon" is a second correct answer. The question is "What do members of the Sun Lakes Tennis Club do to eat and meet as they watch and cheer the Men's Wimbledon Final on Sun., July 11?" It's the next best thing to being there. Our Quarterly Meeting in May cleared the way for what might be called a 'normal' Tennis Club schedule for the balance of 2021. As for other clubs, our Tennis Club will participate in the Sun Lakes Olympic Games, July 23 – Aug. 8. According to Phil Hazelton, "If you do not have a hitting partner your best practice partner is a hitting wall to work on conditioning, consistency, volleys, serving, and overheads." Further he offers, "Keep in mind, you will never beat this opponent, but you will get a good workout in a short hitting time." And, always, "Keep your eye on the ball and the fun in your game." Tai Chi (Tie-Chee) is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner and accompanied by deep breathing. Originally developed for self-defense, Tai Chi has evolved into a graceful form of exercise that's now used for stress reduction and a variety of other health conditions. Often described as meditation in motion, Tai Chi promotes serenity through gentle, flowing movements. The tradition of Tai Chi dates back to at least the 15th century in China, and the practice is based on the belief that balancing the opposite forces in the body (known as yin and yang) will encourage the flow of chi (energy) through the body to promote health. You may also find Tai Chi appealing because it's inexpensive and requires no special equipment. Tai Chi can be done anywhere, alone or in a group class. If you're looking for a way to reduce stress, consider Tai Chi and join fellow Sun Lakers in developing strength in balance, stamina, and flexibility. Info, (951) 381-1022. Tai Chi
