8 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2021 | | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2021 | Happy 4th of July! God Bless America! We give thanks for our National Anthem, the insight and mighty words of our forefathers, our beautiful, flowing red, white and blue flag and an emblem of our freedom, all of which, is what America truly is all about. I feel so proud, am humbled and give thanks to those people that give their time to decorate our streets and place a flag by each driveway on these very special holidays that honor our freedom and veterans. Americans have courage and just seem to persevere, as we have done with the COVID challenge! I Will Survive was sung loud and clear as we struggled through masks, six foot spacing, restrictions to stay home and loneliness. July 3 will mark our first big outing and hopefully the return to the good life we know and enjoy at Four Seasons. Everyone is ready to be out and have some fun. I was in line at 7:20 am today to get tickets for a table for this event as the tickets went on sale at 8 am. Well I'm on the wait list. 250 tickets were sold in a half hour. Now I wait until June 15, if all restrictions are lifted, more tables can be added around the patio, and those residents that stayed and got their name on the wait-list will probably get in. The same thing happened with tickets for the Music on the Plaza last month. So, Who's Sorry Now? I know, I should have gotten there earlier, some residents were there before 7 am when The Lodge doors open! I guess I Need Someone to Watch Over Me, because now I'll have an Achy Breaky Heart until I know if my group will get entry to have some fun on that night. Plus I don't want to miss a quick stop at a certain Margaritaville table either! Taking care of business thoughts: To-go food no longer has an automatic tip added to the bill. That was done to try to give the wait staff some income. But we hope you continue tipping. Think of it this way… they still take your order, set up the box with additives for your meal, napkin, plasticware, mustard, ketchup, maybe a salad and dressing, serve you (it's in a box to go), take your money and give you your change, all with a smile so you can get out on The Road Again! There will be an automatic 18% gratuity added on group functions, other places have gone to 20% and more so it's still a bargain. Francisco says, All I Ask of You is that you continue to make reservations for Friday night special buffets and Sunday Brunch Buffets. It gives him a better idea of how many he should expect. Also, please be considerate about canceling your reservation if you aren't attending. 12 or 14 people didn't cancel or show up last Sunday, you know, Little Things Mean a Lot! Also, a reminder, there is NO TIP included with the Sunday Brunch or Friday night Special Buffet. there are plastic glasses on each table that would love to collect your donation. For He's a Jolly Good Fellow, Francisco will once again offer a Sunday Brunch for Two Coupon in the Herald and Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue to be able to pass that info on to you and That's What Friends are For! The drawing will continue to be executed at the BOD meeting on the fourth Wednesday of most months. Thanks for humoring me with my song titles. I just love The Sound of Music. I hope some titles were familiar to you. Que Sera Sera!
