If you know the Bocce Club, you may have heard the story of what
happened recently on the courts and you can only imagine how this
played out in real time. "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom
of night stays" the intrepid players of the SDV Bocce Club! On a few
occasions the rain (okay, it was the sprinklers going off ) tried to
deter them. But did they give up? They did not! There were times
that the darkness descended upon them (or, you know, the outside
timers shut the lights off ) but did they stop? Oh, no, not them! By
the glow of lamplight (AKA the Flashlight app on a few phones) they
carried on! We truly need to applaud those who did not let nature's
cruelty stop them from completing their "rounds."
Let's remember that the proper procedure for having a maintenance
concern reported to management is via the Resident Request Form
which can be found on our website or in the flyer rack at the Lodge
rather than dropping a post-it note off at the front desk. So, kudos to
Dave Johnson for submitting the Form to Management staff asking
for adjustments to the timers, allowing play to continue a little bit
longer.
I admit this is not just an amusing story, it's an attempt to make
everyone aware the form is the fastest way to get changes done.
