26 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | AUGUST 2021 | HOORAY! We will be having a Shuffleboard season. Our season will run from Sept. 2 and run for 10 weeks plus one week for playoffs. SIGN-UPS will be on Aug. 19 at 1 pm in the Ballroom. Our treasurer is requesting cash payment of $10 per player. Exact cash please. If you cannot attend the sign ups, there will be a sign-up sheet at the front desk in The Lodge after 1 pm on Aug. 19. DO NOT leave payment with the staff; pay at first game. Don't have a full team? Don't worry, sign up and we will place you on a team. Never played? Don't worry we have players who will help you with the basics. We will have a Welcome Back Potluck in the barbecue area on Sept. 16 at 5 pm. Looking forward to getting together. Any resident can check out equipment to play anytime. Check with The Lodge desk and they will explain the procedure. REMEMBER don't spread too much cornmeal mixture on the courts. It is slippery and dangerous. Shuffleboard As of this writing restrictions have been lifted and we should be playing in the spring. Remember that any resident of Four Seasons may sign out the Bocce equipment and play at any time. (The courts are not in good shape.) The Lodge attendant will be happy to assist you. They will take you to the spa building where the older equipment is stored and give it to you for your use. You would then return the bag to the door of the storage room and let The Lodge attendant know that you are finished. They will put it back at their leisure. There is a horseshoe league that plays on Wednesday mornings at 8 am at different locations around Hemet. We practice on Saturday mornings at 8 am. Horseshoes Billiards Bocce Come join fellow community members every Wednesday afternoon at 3 pm for friendly play. Never played before? We are here to help. Fun Fact - Billiards was the first sport to have a World Championship in 1873! Our Four Seasons' team practice is held every Tuesday morning at 10 am. Pickleball Come join the fun! We play on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays from 7:30 am to noon. We invite anyone that would like to learn how to play Pickleball to come on down the fourth Saturday of the month at 8 am for lessons. We know you will have as much fun as we do. Players of all skill levels welcome!
