Neighborhood Watch Thanks to all who came to the Neighborhood Watch Meeting in May especially all new Block Captains. They are a vital part of our community and the eyes and ears for our N.W. Program. Our next general meeting, to be held every other month, will be on Wednesday, July 10, in the ballroom at 10 am. Euclid Management will be in attendance for any questions you may have concerning our community and the topic of gate codes will be discussed. National Night Out 2013 is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 6, this yearly event takes place to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and generate support for, and participation in, local programs. More updates on this to come. ~ Susan Wilson Rules & Regulations There was no meeting in May and no pending action at this time. You are invited to attend the Rules and Regulations Committee meetings. They are held on the third Thursday of every month at 9 am in the Lodge Conference Room. ~ Ron Morgan Safety & Facilities The Safety and Facilities Committee met on June 3, 2013 at the Lodge and discussed a number of continuing maintain projects and issues of concerns in areas of safety the community. Renee Wathkins, Facilities Coordinator, reviewed the ongoing repairs to Bistro chairs, a repair project to the Lodge fountain, the installation of an outdoor shower at the pool, a Kiln purchase, Bistro equipment replacement and ongoing review of projects in and around the Lodge area. Anita Warthen of Neighborhood Watch addressed the committee in relating there has been a reorientation of Neighborhood Watch in their interior committee structures. 14 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2013 | community News There was a discussion that many community members have been observed speeding. There was a reaffirmation that the Beaumont Police Department has patrolled the community and it should be noted the police department can and has issued traffic citations to community members. It is in the best interest of all the community for us to observe the posted speed limits. The Safety and Facilities Committee is pleased to submit to the Board of Directors for approval for membership Diane Bainbridge and Doug Smith. Our next meeting is July 2, at 9 am at the Lodge. ~ Dennis Gray
