Table, bench and fountain will be installed, with solar panels to run the fountain. A Vendor will install a temporary shade while obtaining bids for the pergola cover. LAC will continue work on the slopes. Plants will be added and refurbishing behind Via Astuto, Corte Peralta and the western side of Corte Calanova. Area walks will start with front yard and greenbelt plantings near the Cal Oaks area. President Bowman encouraged residents to complete a Landscape Service Request form for landscape requests. Forms can be obtained from The Colony website at www. thecolonyatcaloakshoa.com or from Receptionist Cindy Irving. New Maintenance employee Jesse Rodriguez was introduced. Vice President Deacon – Upcoming Reserve Projects: • Repair of exterior wood and stucco on the Clubhouse. • Painting of exterior. • Exterior lighting for entry and parking lot (Utilitarian) and pool (Decorative). • Auditorium lighting. • Stage lighting. • Repair and resurface of Paddle, Pickleball and Tennis Courts. • Pool Pavilion replacement: Removal of pillars, replacement of cement and new roof in the area. • Bocce Ball Courts. • Remodel of remaining Clubhouse rooms, including furniture, equipment, phone system and lighting. • The boulder corner (Avenida Florita & Colony Drive) EXECUTIVE SESSION UPDATE: President Bowman updated the membership on Executive Session matters: • Approved May 20, 2021 Executive minutes. • Discussed Majestic Asset Management litigation update. • Reviewed State Reopening Guidelines with Legal. • Held Appeal Hearings. CONSENT AGENDA: Vice President Deacon presented the following items for Board approval: 1. Approval of May 20, 2021, General Board Minutes. 2. Monthly Review of Financials for April 2021. 3. Board Authorization of Transfers and Expenditures over $10,000 for June 2021. 4. Approval of new members Lennie Martin and Janet Houde, Communications Committee. 5. Approval of 4th of July Poolside Party Entertainment contract wording, Social Committee. Approved. TREASURER'S REPORT: Jim Nash presented April 30, 2021 Interim Financial Statements prepared by Associa/PCM. Approved. Approval of New Member of Finance Advisory Committee: Treasurer Sailer presented Wendell Jackson as a new member of the Finance Advisory Committee. Approved. NEW BUSINESS: Resignation of Chuck Gordon, Finance Advisory Committee: Approved. Resignation of Paul Nelson, Architectural Control Committee: Approved. Area 8b – Supplemental Plantings: Management has performed an annual area walkthrough with representatives from the Landscape Advisory Committee to all front yard planters. The purpose of the walk is to compile a list of plants to be planted and determine if a front yard planter should be renovated. Approved Recommendation #1 (#30528) Area 8b planting in the amount of $4,630. RULE RECOMMENDATIONS Management presented the following new proposed rules for Board review and consideration: Age Verification Rule, Home Inspection Violations Rule, Dumpster Rule, Giveaway and Free Items Rule.
