crusin' cronies The "Automobile Aficionados Group" or "Car Buffs" meets on the first Saturday of each month (except in December). We welcome all Sun Lakers and guests who enjoy car talk, taking tours with our new or old cars and having a meal out. Our first Saturday of the month meeting begins from 8 to 8:30 am in the parking lot of the Main Clubhouse to show off our cars, look at everyone else's cars, and socialize. From there, we either meet in the Clubhouse or caravan to a different location to have our monthly meeting and breakfast. The exact location is announced well ahead of time. Our next meeting will be Sat., June 1. All group activities are planned, organized and directed by volunteers. We are a great group. Join us. They chose to move back to California after Tom's diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma Cancer so he can be treated at the VA hospital in Loma Linda. Tom has always loved Hot Rods and attending car shows, as a result of working all his teenage years at his Dad's wrecking yard. The Badger's current ride is this 1948 Ford F-1. It's been completely modified and has a 4.3 vortex V-6 motor, backed by a 4 speed transmission. It has heating and air conditioning, power steering, and power windows. It's very economical to drive, getting 25 - 30 miles per gallon. They have won several awards; one of them for being a "Handsome Hunk!" Attention all fellow RVers who are living in Sun Lakes. If you would like to enjoy the company of good friends and fun times, you are invited to join our club. We offer planned activities at each of our rallies with your choice of participation. Activities may include a round of golf, bocce ball, ring toss or bean bag baseball. Some members gather for card games in the evenings. Not the gaming type?
