women's golf Please join us in the Sun Lakes Women's Golf Club (S.L.W.G.C.) and enjoy 18 holes of golf on the championship course each Thursday morning and the first Saturday of the month. Our tournaments are flighted and membership includes a WSCGA sanctioned handicap. Come out and play a variety of golf games, meet new friends, and enjoy the Sun Lakes life! Info., Kay Rawle, 750-2989. executive men's golf With summer now in full swing, it's time to dust off those clubs and head out to the golf course. All Sun Lakes male golfers are encouraged to come out on Fri. mornings at 8:30 am at the North Clubhouse for a 9 am tee time. The Executive Course features ravines on holes 4 and 6 providing a challenge to hit the ball over and onto the fairway. In addition to the ravines, there is water that comes into play on several holes making the course very challenging. Every week you can enter to win $ for getting closest to the pin. On the third Friday of the month, we hold our monthly tournament followed by a luncheon. Tournament winners have $ credited to their accounts at the Pro Shop. You can also win prizes at the luncheon. Our next tournament on July 19, is a 2-Man Pinehurst format (pick your own partner or have the Pro Shop pair you up). We are open to any Sun Lakes male resident interested in golf fun and camaraderie. We welcome golfers of all skill levels and invite you to try us out some Friday morning. New member forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Our Membership Chairman, Al Silva, can be reached at 769-7495. He would like to hear from you. So come out and join us, we would like to have you as a member. ladies exec. golf If you love to play golf, socialize, and have a great time, then LEGS is the club for you. We meet at 8:30 am every Tuesday at the North Clubhouse for a 9 am tee time. We have varied tournaments with other golf clubs, mixed play, plus social and charity events throughout the year. On the third Tuesday of every month club members meet at the South Clubhouse for a short meeting and afterwards a catered lunch is served for just $10. Guests are always welcome. Our very active Social Committee planned golf on the Executive Course followed by a social. We are growing in numbers and encourage anyone who would like to be part of our group to fill our the new member sheet in the Pro Shop. The first round is at the Pendleton Marine Base Course on July 30, and we will play the Pala Mesa Course on July 31. Everyone is welcome so save the dates.
