Friends we will miss
Raymond Silvestri, age 82, entered his heavenly mansion Dec. 6, 2012 escorted by the prayers and love of his wife of
55 years, Florence, and their four children, Ray Jr., Greg, SueAnne and Tony. Although it has been six months already since his
passing, it is an appropriate Father's Day month to honor him as he was truly a father who exemplified Our Heavenly Father's
love. Ray and Florence raised their four kids in the Chicago area where he grew up. He worked hard as a Vice President at an
Electronics Corporation. They officially moved to Sun Lakes three years after buying their house in 1989. Ray enjoyed many
years of playing golf with his friends at Sun Lakes Country Club until the past few years when his health prohibited him from
playing. Ray and Flo also enjoyed dances and other Sun Lakes events. They enjoyed outings at United Airlines luncheons and
church events with their beloved church family at Oak Valley Church. Ray was full of joy, generosity and love. He had a smile,
laugh and positive attitude that were contagious and even in his final days of being in pain he could be heard saying "Never had a
bad day." He graduated to heaven in his home in Sun Lakes surrounded by his family who loved and honored him. He is buried
in Riverside Memorial Cemetery as he was an Air Force Veteran from the Korean War. He is also survived by nine grandchildren;
Jordan, Karissa, Samantha, Megan, Jacob, Summer, TJ, Dan and Dave. He is greatly missed and forever loved. We look forward to
sharing our home in heaven with him and seeing him play golf on the golf courses of gold where the sun is always shining on the
Lakes of glass!
