The RV Club was able to have a general
meeting in Abravanel Hall in July. This was
the first meeting in well over a year and it was
good to see so many RV friends. President
Skip Harvey opened the meeting with a
power point presentation that included
photos of 40 RVs submitted by members.
Each photo was at some destination outside
of OHCC. The RV photo that was taken the
"furthest away" was by Dennis and Lai Mei
Straus in Key West, Florida.
As many of you already know, there is
much pent-up demand for RV camping
places. This year many new RVers have hit the
road in addition to the regulars. Reservations
need to be made well in advance in State and
National Park campgrounds and private
RV resorts. You will have a better chance of
getting a spot when you focus on weekdays
and pick dates when schools are in session.
This month a group of club members
will be heading for Solvang for the trip
called "Wine and Windmills." For more
information on all upcoming trips and other
events, visit the RV Club website and read
the latest edition of The Open Road.
Be sure and mark your calendars; the
next regular RV Club meeting is scheduled
for Sept. 28.
