Do you want to try line dancing? You don't need a partner or experience, simply a love of music and dance, from pop, country, Latin and even waltzes. Mark your calendars for every Thursday at 2:30 pm starting on Sept. 30. (Our instructor, Christine Alesiani, will be on vacation for most of September.) Go to OceanHillsCountryClub.com, Resident Login, Select Social Clubs/Village Line Dancers We hope to see you on the dance floor soon. Our August launch party was a blast! Guests sipped Prosecco while watching talented duos perform: Len and Clarice Holness, Al Harruff and Marion Semler, Tai and Lin Lien, and youngsters Jaden and Elana (George and Miriam Mozes' grandchildren). We welcomed our new teacher, Carrie Kloss, who got everyone on their feet to try out a few swing steps. Come join the fun! Lessons are on Wednesdays in the Abravanel Hall. Beginners are at 2 pm, Intermediates are at 3 pm. Cost is $7 for members, $10 for non-members. There is a $10 per year membership fee. Pay at the door (no reservation required, just come). Carrie Kloss is teaching swing, an easy, fun dance for Ballroom Dances as well as DooWop parties, weddings, and Lanai events. Practices are Mondays in the Abravanel Hall, 2 to 4 pm. George and Miriam Mozes and Lynn & Marvin Wheeler spin tunes and provide individual coaching, if requested. Dances are on the second Friday of each month in the Abravanel Hall from 7 to 10 pm. Mark these dates for our upcoming dances: Sept. 10, Oct. 8, and Nov. 12. On Dec. 10, we will enjoy dinner at 6 pm.
