On Sept. 16 at 2 pm, Vicki Allen-Hitt will discuss her book Family Matters. In addition to discussing
her book, and she will also talk about the memoir writing process. A question and answer will follow.
Description of my book: Family Matters opens in the early 1900s with the courtship of the narrator's
grandparents. From that point forward, the events span the 20th century. The reader follows the narrator
from childhood to adulthood as she copes with an alcoholic father, a depressed mother and many other
members of her dysfunctional family. Damaged people exist in every family. Surviving them is the goal.

Paint and Sip Night
Come join me on Monday night, Sept. 20 at 6 pm for our "Paint and
Sip" class. I envision this being a relaxing, fun night where you will
complete an acrylic painting, which I will guide you through. You can
do this!
The class fee is $35 which will include all supplies - you just bring your
wine (or beverage of choice) and an open mind.
