| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2021 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA Staff Anniversary: I'm very happy to announce a special anniversary this month. Normally I mention this anniversary at the September Board meeting but this time I wanted to recognize her in my article. Mari Salazar is celebrating nine years with our company serving as your Assistant General Manager. She plays a vital role in several areas: providing guidance and support to the Board, the committees, leadership to The Lodge staff, guidance to the residents and more importantly, skillfully acted as acting General Manager during my recent absence. Mari "held it together" with the full support of the Board and The Lodge staff. I wasn't planning on being absent for as long as I was and was relieved to know that when I returned, there was only a little stack of papers on my desk. This community continues to benefit by her work ethic, commitment and institutional knowledge. I am blessed to work alongside her each day. If you have not turned in your Age-Reverification form, please do so. If you aren't sure if you did, call us and we'll check to see if you did or didn't. 2022 Budget: Several months ago, the Board of Directors appointed an Ad-Hoc Budget Committee. They have begun to work on the 2022 budget. The committee is comprised of members from the Finance committee, the Board, and management. They have also reached out to the Landscape, Facilities and Access Committee for input on their proposed capital and reserve expenditures for 2022. The reserve study component listing is also being reviewed and after their review is completed, any recommendations from the Budget and Finance Committees will be forwarded to the Board for discussion. The Board will be reviewing the finalized draft of the budget this month and if there are no issues, they will approve the annual budget and policy statement at the Board meeting. Final notes: Please remind your guests and delivery service providers to obey the 25 MPH posted speed limit; please pick up after your pets, and be "water-wise" with your sprinklers! Have a peaceful Labor Day!
