| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | SEPTEMBER 2021 | 19 My favorite time of the year - Indian Summer! As the heat begins to dissipate, the smell of autumn will soon be in the air. Here in southern California, we may not 'feel' drastic change between seasons, but for us garden enthusiasts, the subtle changes are acute. Our senses blend seamlessly with the atmospheric changes, and the dirt calls to us in preparation for what needs to be done. Our August meeting was alive with sharing gardening tips, lining up Master Gardener speakers, and exploring exciting new trips for our club. We welcomed another new member, and kicked off our first trip to Idyllwild on Aug. 26. Spending the day visiting the Nature Center/Nursery, Museum Grounds, and exploring the many little shops was everything we expected and MORE! Enjoying lunch outside on the patio at Gastrognome, followed of course with homemade ice cream across the street, was the perfect end to an 'idyllic' first trip. Plans are well under way for our next trip, tentatively scheduled for mid-October to Huntington Library in San Marino, (South Pasadena). We are especially excited to resurrect this particular trip, (we were forced to cancel in April 2020 due to COVID). Details to follow as plans are currently being made. For September ONLY, our regular meeting on Sept. 13 at 1 pm will be held in the private home of Roberta Feigenbaum, (in lieu of the Arts & Crafts Room). Roberta's address is 7688 Armour Drive. As one of our newest members, Roberta graciously invites us to view her garden, and to learn about the many different species of Fig trees she's growing. Gathering in one another's homes/ gardens was the highlight of starting our Club in May 2019, and many of our members recently voiced doing it again. October's meeting is back in the Arts & Crafts Room on the 11th. Late Bloomers meets every second Monday at 1 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. (Schedule is posted on the Calendar Page in every Herald issue.) All Four Seasons residents are welcome to attend meetings and trips. For more information, please contact Sharon Deuber (760) 500-0077 or Sharon@BlackDiamondInvestments.net. Late Bloomers Garden Club Welcome Fall Happy Campers RV Club Happy Campers is open to all residents of Four Seasons who love to RV together. Whether you own your own rig or rent one you are welcome . Twenty-four Happy Campers met in July. Russ Brown lead a great meeting going over final planning for the upcoming Pismo trip. We are discussing ideas for trips next year. Juliane Sandberg volunteered to set up our new Facebook page, Happy Campers - Four Seasons. Everyone is invited to join. We will not be a meeting in September since most of us will be out of town. Remember to send your favorite RVing photos to Swindell41181@yahoo.com to be used in our article along with a park review. This month's picture comes from Judy McPhail, Magnolia Forest RV Park, Magnolia Texas, and Benson Arizona at Butterfield RV for Tom's Birthday. Summer's here so let's get out there and enjoy. As always, be safe and happy camping!
