Sun Lakers at Canyon Lanes
The summer season is now over and we are ready to start our fall league. This summer was
very hot, but it is always cool inside Canyon Lanes. There are still some openings for our fall
league. Just call Teri at (760) 217-9656.
The competition was strong right to the end. The Ageless Wonders took first place over
Just Lucky on the last day of competition. Following are the top three finishers. In first place:
Ageless Wonders with: Sue Torres, Loren Pitz, Jim Edmiston and a vacancy. Second place was
Just Lucky with: Marlene Gartman, Michael Cram, Lawrence Conner and Larry Stormes. Third
place went to: Waters World with John Noonan, Kathy Duerr, Ken Schnabel and Tom Keheley.
Season High Scores for the men went to: Diesel Phelps with a Scratch Series of 762, Andy
Toro with a Scratch Game of 280, Michael Cram with a Handicap Series of 787, and Larry
Stormes with a Handicap Game of 304.
Season High Scores for the women went to: Jazz Burkett with a Scratch Series of 570,
Theresa Frelix with a Scratch Game of 225, Caroline Gagnon with a Handicap Series of 733
and Lawanda Roberson with a Handicap Game of 282.

UPDATE: The sign-up deadline for the Fall Tournament was
previously mentioned as Aug. 28. That has been changed to Sept. 1,
since Lifestyles doesn't come out until Aug. 29. This gives teams who
forgot to sign up a few more days in which to do so.
Fall play begins Sept. 13 and, depending on the number of teams,
will possibly include Thursdays. The usual plan is to begin play at
5, 6, 7, and 8 pm during the hottest part of the Tournament, moving
to our usual Fall times, 3, 4, 5, and 6 pm as the weather cools down.
Your schedules will reflect the change in times. The Tournament
runs 10 weeks, ending the week of Nov. 15, with playoffs Nov. 22 and
