| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | SEPTEMBER 2021 | 33 Sun Lakes Strummers In September, the Sun Lakes Strummers are playing for family and friends. We will resume strumming our Uke's and Guitars together in October. We'll meet at a new day, hopefully the same time and place. Al Morton will continue as our director. We are very grateful for his leadership; he has a fine voice and is a wonderful strummer. To all our "pros," please continue practicing. And to all the newbies, here is a chance to expand your brain power by learning to play a new instrument. Questions? Call Judy, (951) 907-0648. We resumed our gatherings in July and it was fabulous! Everyone was so thrilled to get out again and appreciative for the gathering. The energy among the attendants reflected their enthusiasm at coming together again! The entertainment, Fusion, was more than wonderful and one of our newest additions to our group did an incredible write up on them in Facebook and their patriotic themed performance. At our August gathering we enjoyed Sheila and Larry James, or "Jamestown." I'll tell you all about that next month but they are loved by all. WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS and it is such a rewarding volunteering job to do. It's just three hours per month and these people are so incredibly wonderful and appreciative of all we do it is truly a pleasure to put these get togethers on for them. All we do is set up, serve and clean up. If you're willing to help us out or give it a try, just contact Diane at (951) 797-3676. If you or your spouse are 80 years old or older, you are eligible to be a member of the wonderful 80s Plus Club. It is also common for members to bring guests whether they are family members, out of town guests, caregivers, or even other Sun Lakers who may want to give us a try before joining. We gather each month for a social dinner and first rate entertainment. We are always in the South Clubhouse at 3 pm. Our schedule is the fourth Sunday of each month for the rest of 2021. Our dues are just $10 per year and will be waived through the rest of this year when we will begin collecting for January thru December instead of July through June.
