68 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2021 We are getting ready for this year's Four Wheeling Season. If this looks like fun, come join us. Our first run of the season is to a cool 7000 ft. in our local mountains on Aug. 12. We will see you next month for September's day run. If you have a 4x4 and want to check us out please send us your contact info, we will add you to our email list. Our next meeting and day will be Tuesday, Sept, 14 at 6:30 pm in the RCN Conference Room. We generally take a Thursday and do a day trip, we eat lunch on the trail or find a fun restaurant. We hope to see you on the trail. For info., contact Brian Fusilier, bfusilier@verizon. net, (909) 215-2778 or Scott Snyder, Scottdonaldsnyder@ gmail.com, (562) 714-7253. ~ Brian Fusilier 4x4 Seasons Habits can be good or bad. If you have a smoking habit, that would be in the bad category of habits. If you're doing a little more exercise, that's a good-for-you habit. Here are some eating habits that may help you lose or maintain weight. 1. Smaller plate size - it will help you to serve yourself smaller portions. 2. Set some aside - leave food behind at each meal. Then throw it away so you can't eat it. 3. Seconds - if you divide your food into two portions (like at a restaurant) take one home and eat it as another meal. 4. Throw away - toss any food left on your plate or if there are leftovers, put them in a container and label it for some other meal. 5. Just say no - never accept food from another person unless you ask for it. 6. Minimize contact - one of our members puts foods that are tempting at the back of her closet and refrigerator then puts healthy things up close. You may find that a group like TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) can help you as well. We meet on Tuesdays at 8:30 am in the Ballroom. For more information call Andi Henderson (918) 497-6491. ~ Andi Henderson TOPS Ladies Putters Group On Monday evening, our putting group still came out to play in a "mere" 96 degrees, such is their love for the game. Come out and join us for this great social and fun time either Mondays at 4 pm or Friday at 9 am. If you have no putter or ball no worries, we have extra for you. Our course is now nine holes and our layouts can be challenging. Thanks to our Groundskeeper who sets the course layouts differently every time we play. You can practice your skills anytime in the week with a booking at The Courts. For more information contact Judy Irving at pli42pli42@ gmail.com. ~ Susan Wilson Claudia Rozzi and Bonnie Brown having fun
