72 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2021 Rochelle Sue Terrell Born September 29, 1944, Rochelle passed away July 13, 2021 at Loma Linda University Hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Leeper, and her mother, Clara Marks. Rochelle was a beautiful human being. She was generous, kind, loving, and she did not put up with nonsense. She told it like it was. She was admired and loved by many and she was everyone's friend. She had a brilliant mind and did everything she wanted to do despite her disability. Rochelle contracted polio at age two. The polio caused damage to her lower extremities and therefore she walked with crutches. But that did not stop her from graduating top of her class at age 16 from Los Angeles Polytechnic High School in the San Fernando Valley. She was accepted to law school but she chose to go to Cal State Northridge instead where she earned her Bachelor's in Sociology. She worked for the state of California for over 30 years where she held several positions throughout her career. The last job she held with the state was as the Human Resources Director for the Supreme Court of California, from which she retired. She always said that she lived a wonderful life. She did not let the fact that she walked with crutches stop her from enjoying life. She did it all! Rochelle was the face of Easterseals and March of Dimes at age five, she went on TV game shows, camping, water skiing, fishing, traveled the world, and she enjoyed the arts (mostly painting). Rochelle married the love of her life, James A. Terrell, June 1, 1987 and lived a wonderful life together until her departure from this world. They adored each other and she is greatly missed every second by her loving husband. Antoinette Josephine "Bunny" Hertzberg passed peacefully in her home on June 1 with her husband, Dr. Tony Ramu, by her side. They have lived in Four Seasons for 16 years. Dr. Ramu was the founder and first president of the Taste d'Vine wine club. Antoinette "Bunny" was a beautiful girl and terrific dancer. Bunny worked at the Harvard Coop to assist her first husband through Harvard Law School. From there, they went west to Los Angeles where Bunny and her husband established a home and had five sons. After her children were older, she attended UCLA and went to Cambridge University in England on an extension program. She also went to the Sorbonne in Paris, France. After her first marriage ended, she found love with Dr. Ramu, with whom she shared devotion for 38 years. She loved the wine club and swimming and volunteering at Carol's Kitchen. She is survived not only by her husband but also by her five sons and five grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by family and friends too numerous to mention here. We miss her enormously. A celebration of life of Antoinette Josephine "Bunny" will be scheduled on a future date in Los Angeles. Farewell to Four Seasons Friends
