6 | THE COLONY NEWS | SEPTEMBER 2021 | HOA NEWS By Gloria Brosky, Jodi Harris, Diane Schultz & Marsha Tobolski Thinking your home needs a bit of uplift, but you're not ready for a full paint job? Think about a new door and /or shutter color from our new color collection. There is an excellent guideline to help you choose the colors that will work with your current house color. It's fun and inexpensive! The ACC is receiving over 20 painting applications each month, and we are looking SHARP! If you're looking for ideas to paint your home, take a drive around The Colony to see some of the freshly-painted homes. As the temperatures cool, freshen up flowerpots with seasonal flowers. They make such an impact and brighten our spirits. Are backyard trees overgrown and extending over fences? Consider trimming them, as well as other plants that are getting out of hand. Consider changing your artificial flowers to fall colors. Remember to use UV rated flowers that do not fade. ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL
