4 | LIFE IN SOLERA | OCTOBER 2021 | COMMITTEE NEWS Note From A Neighbor When my husband, Richard, and I, moved to Solera in October 2003, we were in the first phase of the development. Nothing was built out yet — no clubhouse, no pool, no tennis court, just a big mound of dirt! We picked up our mail in a trailer on the other side of Belfry. The clubhouse and pool were built out in 2005. What a glorious opening! These amenities were one of the reasons we moved here from Riverside, not to mention better air quality. My husband retired in 2007 and I, in 2014. The friendships we have made and the activities we have been involved in are various and varied: golf club, tennis group, bridge club, Minnesota canasta, wine Sippers club, book club, history group, lap swimming, bocce ball, riding bikes in the community, hiking group, karaoke, theatre performances, ball room dancing lessons, gourmet groups, garden club, concerts on the Green, just to name a few! I want to encourage all residents to avail themselves of all that Solera has to offer as well as initiating new activities and reviving some old groups and clubs. What other "neighborhood" would offer so much to its residents?! As one of the HOA Board members, I am invested in Solera and my goal is to see our community continue to offer more and more to make "Life in Solera" even more fulfilling! ~ Beverly Crowe Making Life in Solera Better: A Message from the Publisher We hope everyone enjoys the first issue of the new Life in Solera magazine.
