COMMITTEE NEWS | LIFE IN SOLERA | OCTOBER 2021 | 7 August was a wonderful time for many of Solera's new residents. The New Resident Welcome Advisory Committee was honored to host three Social Gathering events. We have 40 Clubs and Groups and nearly all of them sent a representative, plus there are five paid activities and a couple of them also attended. Everyone was excited to see so many in attendance. We served treats and coffee. Many new residents signed up to join our clubs and groups. Everyone spent 40 minutes of meeting new neighbors and friends. Marcia Casem's presentation, "Living in an HOA," included information about the responsibilities of the Board, management staff, and residents. The Hierarchy of the Statutes and laws (Federal Laws, Davis-Stirling Act), Recorded Map/Plot/Plan, Articles of Incorporation, CC&Rs, Bylaws, and Community Rules. Also included were our three accounts: Operating Budget, Reserves, and Capital Improvement. Then we had question and answer time. Wed., Oct. 27 is our next Social Gathering. We invite everyone in Solera to attend. The new residents who register and request a visit from a Welcome Ambassador between April 1 and Sept. 30 will receive a personal invitation. If you registered and did not make this request, you are certainly invited to attend. Thank you to Club and Group members who attended the four events. Your participation is so important to the success of these events. Many of our ambassadors are members of your Clubs and Groups and invite new residents to become active in our community. Welcome to Diane Gell and Patricia Cobb, our newest members to this committee. We now have 15 ambassadors dedicated to welcoming all new residents of our amazing community.
