DID YOU KNOW dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide? Yes, it
is useful for keeping things frozen or cold. It is also an item that
requires careful handling, including fresh air and a well-ventilated
area. Dry ice can potentially freeze the coolant in your fridge and
cause cracks, leaks, and breakages. It is recommended that you use
an ice chest with block ice to store refrigerated perishables during
a power outage. Should you choose to use dry ice instead, please
acquaint yourself with all the safe handling protocols associated with
its usage. The following references have additional information on

DID YOU KNOW there is a new, blue "Power Outage
Guidelines" tab on our website's home page which provides links to
specific helpful topics that were developed by the AdHoc Power Out
Committee? The website is www.fourseasonsbeaumont.org. Paper

DID YOU KNOW we have a new ADHoc Water Conservation
Committee? The seven-member committee will work to prepare
our community for possible future federal and/or state mandates
that may affect our community's water usage. California is in the
second year of a historically severe drought, the worst in nearly half a
century. The U.S. Drought Monitor and National Drought Mitigation
Center note that 100 percent of California is in a moderate drought
with 95.6 percent of the state in a severe drought and 88.4 percent in
an extreme drought. These figures are compiled weekly and obtained
from drought.gov. Members of the new committee are Gino Domico,
Nanette Scott, Phillip Westbrook, Mel Zeldin, Kathy Craven and Jerry
Monahan as Board liaisons, and Eric Zarr, FirstService rep.
