FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2021 29 Facilities Committee During homeowner input at our last meeting, Lynette Smilac asked about having more dog waste stations placed in various areas. She was informed that 10 new units were recently purchased and placed throughout the community. The concrete for the shuffleboard courts was poured, and we are awaiting the next phase in this project. We are awaiting bids for the re-staining of the loggia and courtyard at The Lodge. The Committee voted to accept the bid from Empire Works for the numerous painting projects throughout the community. The Facilities Committee meets the second Wednesday of the month at 9 am in the RCN Conference Room. ~ Gino Domico, Gdomico@gmail.com Finance Committee At the Finance Committee's August meeting, the financial statement for July 2021 was reviewed and recommended for Board approval. Highlights of the July financial statement are: Total Cash is $10,893,500 including operating cash of $2,208,323 (checking, CDs, petty cash) and reserve assets of $8,685,177. Our HOA Reserve is 104.35 percent funded as of July 2021. While there is a year-to- date net income gain of $16,757 in July, there was a net income loss of $40,940 for the month, primarily due to higher utility bills and landscaping needs. Front Yard Cost Center expenses were under budget by $4,687 primarily from savings in budgeted landscape items. Springdale Cost Center expenses were under budget by $605 due to savings in budgeted insurance costs. The committee evaluated and reviewed documentation for seven expenditure proposals, five contract renewals and the revised Financial Committee Charter. All 13 items were recommended for Board approval. The Committee evaluated our current cash position and investment portfolio. No investments were maturing in the next 90 days so no recommendations were needed for Board consideration. The 2022 budget preparation season continues. If you have a 2022 Budget suggestion, check with FirstService management staff to see if your budget request can be considered for inclusion in the Proposed 2022 Budget. Our Board of Directors will discuss the 2022 Budget proposal, which includes the recommended level of monthly dues for January through December 2022, at their November 2021 General Session meeting. Please attend. Homeowners are welcome to attend the Finance Committee's regularly scheduled monthly meetings held on the last Tuesday of each month. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 1 pm. Please check the Daily Report for meeting location. ~ Claudia Rozzi, cc2682@outlook.com
