56 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2021
Welcome to all the new players. This month, I thought it
might be helpful to share my experience buying a new paddle
tennis racquet.
Paco, Stan and Tracy are conducting the Paddle Tennis
training instructions on Tuesday evenings around 6 pm.
There are used racquets at The Lodge Courts that you are
welcome to use and after experiencing the play many players
will want to buy their own racquets.
These players will need to decide which racquet will fit their
needs. Two things to look for in a racquet is the weight and
the grip, and one that doesn't have too much vibration, unless
the ball hits the sweet spot (which is the very center of the
racquet). You should feel comfortable holding your racquet.
I have been using Power Paddle by Brian Lee for the past
six years, I have now switched to Babolat Veron because my
Power Paddle is on its last legs, just like my shoes. lol
On a side note, if tennis is one of your favorite games, I'm
sure you'll love Paddle Tennis.
There are several online stores that sell racquets, just do a
Google Search and I'm sure you'll find your new racquet.
At right are pictures of the racquets for reference.
Good luck — see you at the Paddle Court. If you have
questions, you can call Ali (909) 210-9359. ~ Syed Ali,
