COMMITTEE NEWS
Whew… where did this summer go? Autumn and winter,
with all of their activities, are rapidly approaching. One good
thing about this summer was that the Communications
Committee had the opportunity to meet many of our new
residents at the New Resident Orientation meetings. Our raffles
were a big success and the winners each received a pair of self-
launching earbuds which automatically pair up and turn on
when you put them in your ear. We have been very successful
in recruiting writers, most of whom are working with Rita
Nastri on our Outreach to History subcommittee.
Yes, autumn and winter will soon be upon us and we are
in dire need of Technical Support on the committee, such as
camera operators, audio operators, floor managers, lighting
operators and set-up assistance to help cover events. If you
are interested, even though you have no technical experience,
please join us and we will train you. It would be a great help to
the services we provide to The Colony.
Summer is at an end, so we will be back to having our
committee meetings in the Meeting Room in the Clubhouse on
the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 10 am. Please
feel free to attend our meetings to see if you are interested in
serving on our committee. We will look forward to seeing you!
