Hospital Seeks Candidate for Oversight Committee Measure D is a parcel tax that was passed by voters on May 1, 2012. It is an extension of an existing parcel tax, the proceeds of which are used to operate and maintain the San Gorgonio Memorial Healthcare District's emergency department and associated services on a 24-hour basis. The parcel tax helps provide local access to advanced, lifesaving emergency medical care at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital. As part of the passage of Measure D, San Gorgonio Memorial Healthcare District is creating a citizens oversight committee. The purpose of this committee will be to review the expenditures paid for with parcel tax funds to ensure they are in conformity with the language of the parcel tax resolution. The committee will meet semi-annually and report to the San Gorgonio Memorial Healthcare District Board of Directors. The Committee will also issue an annual written report to the public. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please complete and submit the application which is available for download on the hospital's website at www.sgmh.org or can be requested by contacting Bobbi Duffy in Administration at (951) 769-2101.
