A newly- formed "Events Team" is coordinating new events, party gatherings, and dance venues. All members will have much to look forward to with a fun-filled Halloween party in October. IDS welcomes all Sun Lakes Country Club residents to join us. Members enjoy dancing and no dance experience is required since all classes are for inexperienced as well as those who have trained. The first show will kick off the Club's membership drive, and will be held on Sun., Jan. 9 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Tickets for each show are $20 for members, $25 for non-resident guests. Doors open at 6 pm, and the show begins at 7 pm. Make checks out to Friendship Club, and drop them off at 5168 Rio Bravo Drive. The Friendship Club Sun Lakes Strummers The Sun Lakes Strummers will meet on a new day, Thursdays, beginning Oct. 7, 1 pm in the Bus Room. Al Morton is our director and Diane Bradley, who plays the piano for us, may take up the uke as well. Thank you to those who have showed interest in our strumming group as we start anew. Please continue to call and share your strumming experiences or interest in learning. If you've been in this strumming group before, what a great chance to renew friendships. If you are new to the group, what a chance to utilize another part of your brain. Since there has been a great deal of interest in our group, my apologies to those I have not reached out to personally.
