| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | OCTOBER 2021 | 11
Thank you to all the Sun Lakers who donated their Lifestyles
bags! At left is a photo of just a few, filled with books - beginning
reading, coloring, activity, and more. Crayons are inserted into the
bags for the kids who request coloring books. They are so excited
to get them and pick out their own book to read as well. The hole
in the bags made it perfect to carry. Thank you so much!
Thank you!
Have you ever wondered where all of the money raised
during Charity Week goes? Want to find out more about the
Sun Lakes Charitable Trust and those involved? On Sat., Oct.
23, an assortment of local nonprofit community organizations
have been invited to receive a share of the nearly $100,000 raised
during the year highlighted by the successful 2021 charity week
events.
Beginning at 1:30 pm, residents can pick up information or
ask questions about each of the non-profits at their table in
the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. A representative from each will
also speak to the audience about what they do and how their
donation will be used as they receive their grant onstage.
Past recipients have included Carol's Kitchen, Table of Plenty,
The Unforgettables Foundation, San Gorgonio Memorial
Hospital Foundation, H.E.L.P. Inc., and nearly a dozen more.
All Sun Lakes residents are welcome and highly encouraged to
attend the presentation.
Oct. 21 is the deadline for new additions and changes in the next
Sun Lakes Phone Book. If you are new to Sun Lakes, you are NOT
automatically listed in the Sun Lakes Phone Book. Please fill out
the first page in the phone book and mail it to the address on the
page, or email it to millerpublocalphone@yahoo.com before Oct. 21
to be included. You can also phone me at (951) 849-4747 and leave
the info. If you see names that should be deleted, please fill out the
same form and send it to me, Jim Miller.
