12 SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | OCTOBER 2021 By Willow and Mulligan Seiler, Pet Residents Hi, we are Willow (I'm the black one) and Mulligan (I'm the brown one) Seiler. We may not look exactly alike, but we are brother and sister litter mates, born right here in Solera Diamond Valley. That is right, we are natives, born here in January 2018! Our mother, Sally, is a Golden Retriever and our father, Scout, is a boxer so we like to think we have both brains and brawn in our bloodline! We love long walks, running in the fields, and especially chasing lizards. We have learned that rabbits are our friends, so we leave them alone. We have even protected our community by chasing off a few coyotes from the paseo. Willow can destroy almost any toy in a matter of minutes, and Mulligan likes squeaky toys, playing fetch and tug-a-war with his toys. We love our backyard pool and enjoy swimming in the hot summer days. You will find us almost every morning and evening walking around the neighborhood with either our dad Mark or our favorite dog walker, Rossy. Some of you may remember us when we were wild puppies, but now we are older, wiser and much better behaved too. While we may look big and intimidating, we are friendly, especially if you have treats! Pet of the Month Interview By The Mendez' Before we leave The Lodge, we look around for "this" and "that." Looking under our chairs or on the table, we think we have it all, but it's "the other thing" that we have forgotten. Left behind in our wake, is a phone, pool stick, or jacket. Sometime later, at home, we will look for it and discover it is missing. Where did we leave it? Next, we retrace our steps in our minds, reviewing our actions, and realize, that what we are missing was left behind. We are lucky to have so much available to us at The Lodge. We use the gym, we swim and take showers afterwards. We play billiards, and charades. We join committees, clubs and groups to stay active, to meet new neighbors, and to keep in touch with friends. With so much to do and fun events to take part in, we are at The Lodge almost every day and sometimes for multiple reasons. This is when we lose things. Perhaps it was a trip to the loo and we've left behind our phone which we placed on the counter while washing up. Maybe it was cold outside when we arrived and warmer when we leave, so a sweater or jacket is left hanging on the hook. I even left a person behind one time after promising them a ride home. Whatever the reason, we are two absent minded people who want to say thanks to all the residents who are picking up after us and turning our items into the concierge. Furthermore, can you imagine if we had to drive into town to attend a gym or go multiple places to meet up with friends? We'd be calling around and driving here and there to retrieve our stuff the next day – if, that is, someone with integrity found it first and turned it in to someone with authority. We are ever so lucky to live in a community like ours, among people like you. Many thanks. Left Behind
