4 SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | OCTOBER 2021 Happy October! Fall season is officially here and all the fun holiday events, gatherings and parties are upon us. I'm truly looking forward to my first holiday season here at Solera Diamond Valley as I've had the pleasure of hearing many wonderful stories of what has gone on here in The Lodge over the years. September's meetings with the Volunteer Group, Recreation Committee and Communications Committee were quite special as we are planning for the best time of the year, at least that's my opinion. I absolutely love the end of the year, there's so many fun things going on with friends and family and celebrating the holidays always makes my heart so happy. Our August Ice Cream Social Sock Hop was a blast. It was awesome seeing everyone dressed up; the costumes were quite impressive! Our lovely DJ Nicole was incredibly entertaining, and we will definitely have her here again at The Lodge. Solera's first ever Piano Bar Night in September was pure fun. Local piano bar entertainer, pianist and singer Matt Fetbrandt gave us all an enjoyable evening. He truly is an extraordinary entertainer and musician. You will also see him here again, hopefully sooner rather than later. Don't miss our Oktoberfest Beer Tasting event on Thurs., Oct. 7. This event is very similar to the Wine Tasting events you have seen in the past, however this one will be with 10 to 12 different beers and will be geared around Oktoberfest and its history. Our Halloween Bash is Sat., Oct. 30. Don't miss this fun night of music, dancing, and of course some costume contests. Lifestyle Report By Sam Kendig The Veterans and Friends Club will be hosting a taco plate lunch with fixin's on Thurs., Nov. 11 at 11 am at The Lodge. The event is open to Veterans and Friends, residents and family members. All plates are $10. Please purchase lunches at The Lodge prior to Nov. 5. Look for the box with envelopes.
