The November watercolor painting classes begin this week and there may still be room for you in the classes. Sharon Rachal, a very prominent local artist, will be teaching the classes on Mondays, Nov. 1, 8, and 15, from 9 am to 12 pm in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts Room. The total cost for the series is $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Please call Sharon Salcido at (951) 845-8189 to enroll or for more information. The next Art League general meeting will be Sun., Nov. 14 at 2 pm in the South Clubhouse. The annual Election of Officers will be held, so it is important to be there. Following the meeting, there will be a break for refreshments and time to vote for your favorite piece of art in the Mini Art Show. The program for the day will be a demonstration by Lori Krebs Worby of her wonderfully whimsical pen and ink drawings, and we all will be able to participate. Don't miss this "fun" program. There will be no meetings or classes in December. The first meeting of the new year will be on Jan. 9, 2022. Recently the Main Clubhouse Art League display cases were changed out with all new works of art done by our very talented members. Our thanks to the chairman, Susan Van Loon and her helpers. Be sure to take time to enjoy this beautiful display. In September the Art League held their first "Art Walk" in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. It was a non-judged art show with 22 artists being present with their table display, with some doing demonstrations, and with some selling their works. The admission was free and several beautiful door prizes were given out. It was well attended, and well organized by the chairman Lori Worby, and it was enjoyed by those participating as well as those attending. The photos included in this article were all taken at the Art Walk. 26 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2021 | Art League David Allred had several pieces of his beautiful wood carvings at the Art Walk Lori Krebs Worby, Chairman of the Art Walk, with her large display of art work.
