Sun Lakes Quilters Wine Club Members of the Wine Club Steering Committee are once again in the planning stages for the first wine pairing to be held in the early part of 2022. Stay tuned for more information. A committee is currently being formed to help with the planning and organizing for this inaugural event. In particular, assistance with decorating will be needed on the day of the event. The Steering Committee is also looking at arranging bus trips to local wineries for our members. More information and details will be coming soon. The month of November and Thanksgiving Day are a wonderful time to remember all that we have to be grateful for. Pairing a full bodied California Chardonnay or an exceptional Pinot Noir with your Thanksgiving Day meal will elevate the enjoyment of the meal while adding a delightful accompaniment to your Thanksgiving Day celebration. Int'l Culture Club The International Culture Club (ICC) will hold a 60s dance for their November event in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom on Nov. 11. Peace signs, bell-bottom jeans, tie-dyed shirts, psychedelic prints, mini-skirts and go-go boots were all the rage during that tumultuous decade, so dig out some of your groovy clothes and join in on the fun. Music for the evening will be provided by Radio 60. We have been approved by the Master Board to hire a caterer for this event. More information will be available about the meal and entrée selections at the time of sign-up for the event. Sign- ups for the November event will be held at the North Clubhouse on Nov. 4 at 3 pm. Nov. 11 is Veteran's Day and as an added part of the event, there will be a salute to our service men and women. Any veteran who would like to wear their uniform, hat or any items that represents their branch of the service is encouraged to do so. All Veterans will be recognized during the evening.
