| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2021 | 37
Sorry to say October is gone, hopefully back again next year.
October was great. It had days and each day had hours, what more
could you want. If you took advantage of those many hours for
writing you must have lots of good stuff to read in November. Now
November too has days and some of them are holidays. Why, with
your holiday company you can sit everyone around the table and read
your latest October writing to them while they have dessert. You may
be better off coming to a meeting of the Sun Lakes Creative Writers
where your writing will be far more appreciated and if needed you
will get gentle critiques from the group to make it even better.
And that goes both ways. When you see what others have been
writing you get to say, "Hey, good job!" Or maybe not. If you are
confused over a sentence or a point, let 'em have it. The group
members write everything from poems and non-fiction as well as
humor, memoirs and horror stories. Don't worry though, we keep the
lights on. We welcome new members, there are no dues, no singing
and socks are not required. Meetings are held on the first Monday
(Nov. 1) and third Wednesday (Nov. 17––this day a shift to the North
Clubhouse, not so far north you will need a coat) of every month
except for holidays and alien invasions. Meetings are held in the Sun
Lakes Country Club Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room (almost
wrote moldy porpoise). New or interested writers should begin by
calling Roger Smith, (951) 769-2808. Hurry, this offer will never end.
Good writing to all. Maybe one of us could change the world… little
bit?
