FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2021 61 Since we needed to fill the empty slots in our 2021 perpetual winners plaque, we have been holding in-house tournaments the end of each month through November. Our September tournament featured the first and second place winners of the 11 am session versus the first and second place winners of the 1 pm session. Carlos Rivera was the 11 am first place winner, and he played off against Johnny Ramirez, the first place winner of the 1 pm session. Carlos won two out of three games and became the tournament first place champion. Then Pete Antoine, 11 am second place winner played off against David Thomason, second place winner of the 1 pm session. Pete Antoine was successful in securing the win for second place! Congratulations to everyone who participated. You are all winners! Since you have secretly wanted to join a group of really fun people who enjoy the game of billiards every Tuesday at either the 11 am to 1 pm session or the 1 to 3 pm session, come join us in The Lodge Billiards Room! We know you want to! ~ Eileen Antoine, (951) 922- 6829, egcellent@msn.com Billiards for Fun Curly Cues Billiards If you want to start your week with a little fun, come join the Curly Cues! This is a ladies only billiards group and we play every Monday from 10 am until noon. Curly Cues was started over five years ago by Eileen Antoine. After being in charge for a few years she handed the reins over to Pat Semler and Leta Ramirez. Of course we lost a lot of play time due to COVID, but we are happy to say most of our ladies have returned. In fact, a few of our ladies have really stepped up their game since returning (I think they have billiards tables at home and won't admit it). Janet McAdamis ran the whole table a few sessions ago — for you non-players this means she sunk all of her balls including the eight ball in one turn. Her poor opponent never stood a chance! Sorry Joy! We always have a lot of fun and have become great friends. We all missed playing and visiting so much. However, I think we have sufficiently caught up on our gossip and are ready to really play some competitive games now. So come on down, we would love to have you join us! For more info., contact Pat Semler, (714) 325-5280 or Leta Ramirez, (626) 695-0798. ~ Oleta Ramirez L-R: Janet McAdamis, Joy Collins, Pat Semler, and Verina Don't let those funny face balls fool ya, we can shoot! Carlos Rivera (R), 1st place; Pete Antoine (L) 2nd place Carlos shows off his skills Pete lines up the win
