FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2021 63
Fishing Club
Well, I missed last month because I was in Arizona hunting. Not much of an excuse, but that is the
truth and I am sticking to it.
I have not been fishing for the last three weeks because I was participating in the Oldlympics in
Hemet. I was in 26 events and won 15 medals. Most people would not believe that an old, fat man like
me could win anything. I had my wife take a picture, so now I can prove what I have been up to for the
last three weeks.
It is now getting cold and trout fishing is going to start. We will be going to a bunch of lakes to fish for
trout. I caught a big catfish in the middle of winter two years ago so you never know what is going to bite.
Now that the pandemic is getting better in California, we plan on going fishing a lot. I will ask
FirstService Residential if I can post when and where we are going fishing. I will give my phone number
on the posting so you can call me if you have any questions.
Tight lines to all my fishing friends in Four Seasons, and remember some time you will be in the zone
and catch a quick limit. ~ Richard Carrasco, ricarrasco52@gmail.com
Bocce Club
Bocce Ball is played at The Summit. With the weather cooling as
we head into late fall early winter, we will be changing our start times:
Tuesday at 9 am and Friday at 9 am. Everyone is welcome to play and
join our group. If you are interested in learning the game, please join
us.
The word "bocce" comes from an Italian word meaning "to bowl."
The small white ball, called the "pallino," is thrown first to start the
game. The rules are simple — get your ball as close to the pallino
as possible to score a point. If more balls of the same color get close,
these additionally score points. Games are usually played to 12 points
and two games usually take about one and a half hours.
Bocce Ball requires no specific skill or previous experience. You
will get a little exercise and enjoy a beautiful view and breezes at The
Summit, all while having a great time with a great group of people.
Any questions, please call me, Hank Negrete, at (909) 747-7087. ~
