FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2021 65 Sept. 17 was National POW/MIA Recognition Day and the Four Seasons Motorcycle Club (MC) was honored to lead a long procession that headed out to Hillside Cemetery in Redlands where Redlands area heroes from wars past were honored. Len Tavernetti, a Four Seasons resident and past board president, has been very involved in organizing this annual event for our Four Seasons community, making sure that our Veterans are not forgotten. Ten MC members (Scott Snyder, Bill Steele, Jim Ayala, Tim Mixon, Joe Bert, David Burchartz, Kirk Baake, Mick Brown, Paco Paez and Phil Westbrook) led the procession followed by members of the Four Seasons Cars and Coffee Club in their vintage cars. It was also wonderful to see a number of other Four Seasons residents and guests joining the procession. A big thank you goes out to Len for being the lead in organizing this event as well as to our MC president Terry Humble for getting the MC involved and a special thank you goes out to our local CHP and Beaumont Police for escorting our procession as we made our way to the cemetery. Amazing how flashing lights and sirens clears traffic out of the way. Hey Len, we hope you invite the MC to be part of this special event next year; we are ready to go! The hot summer weather is behind us, which means our options for our weekly Thursday rides have really opened up. We recently headed out to San Clemente for lunch on the pier. We do this ride about two times every year and it never disappoints. Also, we recently headed out to Borrego Springs for lunch. It's been a while since we headed out that way and we found the weather to be perfect. As we were approaching Borrego Springs we were treated to an up close and personal encounter with a couple of bighorn sheep that dropped down onto the highway. It was just one of those special moments on a motorcycle. If you ride and have been thinking of riding with the MC, give us a call to learn more about the club. For now just know that we are a bunch of motorcycle enthusiasts who enjoy the camaraderie of other riders. We aren't picky about what you ride either. On any Thursday ride you will find an assortment of rides like Harley Davidson, Victory, BMW, Yamaha, and Indian. If you want to know more, call our club president Terry Humble (909-706-2298) or vp Jim Ayala (951-392-6259) or secretary Joe Bert (909-767-1484). ~ Jim Ayala Motorcycle Club Getting ready to ride to Hillside Cemetery.
