| THE COLONY NEWS | NOVEMBER 2021 | 9 COMMITTEE NEWS It's November! Turkey time, Thanksgiving, pumpkin pie… What a year 2021 has been! The Communications Committee is gearing up for a much more productive 2022. Our Outreach to History subcommittee is preparing to begin videotaping interviews with longtime residents of our community. Our production crews have begun taping a series of videos for each of the clubs and committees. If your club or committee is interested, please let us know so that we can schedule a recording session. Our Website Subcommittee is actively working to prepare upgrades to our Colony website. We are pleased to welcome a new member and active camera person to our committee, Greg Bennett. We are also proposing upgrades to our studio facilities. We have recently elected officers for the year: Chairperson, Greg Hill; Vice Chairperson, Ken Luekens; Secretary, Janet Houde. We wish everyone a happy and prosperous holiday season! This committee has two vacancies. If this is something you might be interested in, please give me a call for more information or complete an application that is available at the Reception Desk in the Clubhouse. You will be contacted. RULES & REGULATIONS The Golf Course Committee meets every Tuesday and consists of Bruce Dalfonso, Jim Nash, Joanne Deacon, Del Mitchum and myself as Board members. Members-at-Large are Daryl Hansen and George Steele. Also on the committee are Jim Morgan, HOA General Manager, Rian Jones, attorney for The Colony, and Mike Abee, consultant. Board members Glenn Sailer and Amy Horlock may sit in the meetings any time but are not on the committee. The goal of the committee is to bring closure to the golf course issues prior to next year's HOA Board of Directors election. Yes, this is doable! The Board expects to have monthly updates during each upcoming Open Session. Please plan on attending these sessions to be informed. The committee plans to have a Town Hall evening meeting in late spring. Your golf course questions would also be a good topic for the Meet with a Director's forum on the second Wednesday of each month at 5 pm in the Lounge.
