| THE COLONY NEWS | NOVEMBER 2021 | 3 I am so honored to be able to serve on the Board of Directors for The Colony. I am writing this just three weeks after the election and all I can say is… "Wow! What a first three weeks!" I have so much to learn and I'm working as hard as I can to shorten that learning curve. Along with my Vice President duties, I have been appointed as Board Liaison to the Communications Committee and to the Recreation Committee. I am also a member of the Golf Course Committee and have learned so much already in working with people from these committees. In the Communications Committee, I am so impressed by the vision and projects they are looking at to improve the way we communicate. Technology has changed the way many people communicate, while for others it has not changed for them at all. This group continues to explore ways to deliver information, leveraging the new communication platforms without sacrificing some of the proven traditional methods. They will be reaching out to each of you soon to better identify the needs and interests in The Colony. Please be a part of this journey with us. It has exciting possibilities. I've worked with the Chair of the Recreation Committee to bring a team of people together to understand what things we need to keep doing for our current residents, and what do we need to change to meet the requirements for new residents with new interests. As Tournament Director for the Colony Men's Golf Club, I have stayed very close to the golf course litigation over my last two years. That has helped me hit the ground running on the Golf Course Committee. This team is working hard for The Colony and meeting weekly. Whether you are a golfer or not, whether you live on the course or not, every single household inside our gates is impacted if the course ever closes and goes brown. Our mission is to "Keep the Golf Course from Closing." We are working together with our attorneys throughout this litigation process to make sure the interests of The Colony and its members are served. My wife, Lori, and I truly feel blessed to live here. Thank you for your support, and I look forward to serving this community! From the Board of Directors By Bruce Dalfonso, Vice President
