Glenn Sailer The Colony sincerely thanks Mary Ann Plummer and Tom Brackin for their past service on the Board of Directors. e Colony HOA Election Results CLUBHOUSE SCHEDULE FOR NOVEMBER: The Clubhouse, pool and spa areas will be closed on Thanksgiving Day so that the employees may enjoy the holiday with their families. The Administration Offices will be closed the day after Thanksgiving, but the Clubhouse, pool and spa will be open. Maintenance will be available. DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME: Daylight Saving Time will end at 2 am on Sunday, Nov. 7. Remember to set your clock back one hour and enjoy that hour of sleep you lost on March 14! As the holidays are now approaching, The Property Services Department for the Colony Homeowners Association would like to remind residents of the guidelines for all decorations beginning Oct. 1, 2021 through Jan. 6, 2022. 5.11 Signs, Flags, Posters, Banners. Commercial flags, posters, banners or other advertising media, other than a single real estate for sale sign described in Section 5.3, may not be displayed within or on any common or separate property. 5.5.1 Non-commercial flags, posters, and banners may be displayed on or in a homeowner's separate property, except as required for the protection of public health or if such display would violate a local, state, or federal law. These must be kept in good condition and appearance, not tattered, ripped, or faded, and should not unreasonably deviate from the standard size. 5.5.2 Non-commercial signs and posters may not exceed nine (9) square feet in size. Non-commercial flags or banners may not exceed fifteen (15) square feet in size. 5.5.3 Non-commercial signs made of lights, roofing, siding, paving materials, flora, balloons, or any other similar building, landscaping, or decorative component, including the painting of any architectural surface, are prohibited. 5.5.4 Non-commercial signs of a political nature may be displayed no more than thirty (30) days prior to Elections and must be removed no later than two (2) days following an Election. If placed in the front yard, signs shall not interfere with the gardeners. 5.5.5 December Holiday Season decorations placed in the front yards shall not interfere with the gardeners. December Holiday lighting may be installed the weekend before Thanksgiving but may not be turned on until after Thanksgiving and must be removed by January 15th. (Adopted 11-01-18) 5.5.6 Holiday decorations placed in the front yards shall not interfere with the gardeners. Decorations for Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa may be installed starting Thanksgiving Day and must be removed by January 15th. 5.5.7 All other Holiday decorations may be installed one month prior to the Holiday and must be removed no more than five (5) days following the Holiday. 5.5.8 Use of audio/sound effects with external holiday decorations is prohibited as it impacts quiet enjoyment of surrounding neighbors.
