The Doo Wop & Disco Dance Club is keeping parties simple during these crazy times. We are focused on bringing you some great music which really can "take you back." The 70s crazy times — for those Veterans who served our country, we heartily thank you! "I'm going back to the 70s, does anyone want anything" made the rounds on Facebook. Include a check for $10 per person made out to The Doo Wop Club. Membership is good for the rest of this year and all of 2022. Our party space is too small for all the Doo Wop Club members who wish to attend so we use a lottery for both the reserved seat list and the waiting list. *OceanHillsCountryClub.com Log-In; click on "Social Clubs" then Doo Wop & Disco Club. 14 | OHCC LIVING | NOVEMBER 2021 | Doo Wop and Disco Dance Club Village Squares Looking Back And Looking Forward We in Village Squares have such wonderful memories over the last 30 years of our club's existence. One particularly happy time was this Halloween party in 2019. We invited other clubs, and Ken Bower was our caller. Our costumes, as you can see, were creative and of great variety. Sometimes we couldn't tell who was hiding under that wig and makeup! Little did we know it was to be our last big party for a long time. Things are looking up again, however, for Village Squares. We felt, under the circumstances, it was best not to begin our dances this year. However, we have put in our bid for times in 2022 to once again experience the friendship, camaraderie, and joy of dancing, and we look forward to that time! We are still planning to have our holiday party, Catered by Bobby's Hideaway, on Dec. 9. We have plans underway for a memorable night. We will have entertainment and dancing, so be sure to mark your calendars and save this date. You will be receiving more information soon. This will be a wonderful event with Bobby's great food and our special program. Don't miss it! I'm going back to the 70s. Does anyone want anything?
