Ballroom Dance The Ballroom Dance Club's Endless Summer Luau party was a wonderful opportunity to dig out the Hawaiian shirts, floral Muumuus, and aloha spirit. Valerie Thompson loosened everyone up with a fun and informative Hula lesson. Guests were excited to get back on the dance floor and enjoyed the variety of ballroom music. Come join the fun! Dances are in Abravanel Hall from 7 to 10 pm • Nov. 12 – dance to Alias • Dec. 10 – dance to MusicStation Lessons are Wednesdays in Abravanel Hall with Beginners at 2 pm, and Intermediates at 3 pm. $7/ member and $10/nonmember. Membership fee is $10 per year. Pay at the door (no reservation required, just come!) Carrie Kloss is teaching the Waltz this month. We have parties on Mondays in Abravanel Hall from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Jump start your week! • Experienced OHCC dancers will do a mini-Waltz lesson. Then you can dance to a variety of ballroom music or just enjoy the music and socializing. Bring a friend and some Happy Hour nibbles and drinks. The Party is FREE! No charge for the mini lesson, no charge for the tunes, no charge for the FUN! Questions? Neighbors, ladies AND gentlemen: Do you want to try line dancing? You don't need a partner or experience, simply a love of music and dance, from pop, country, Latin and even waltzes. Mark your calendars for every Thursday at 2:30 to 3:30 pm in Abravanel Hall. Just drop in, have a seat, and observe for free or take part in the instruction for $5 each class. After two classes, if you would like to continue, simply become a member of our Club. Check our website for a membership form or pick one up from the rack near the front desk. The receptionist has them behind the desk too. Dues are half price, $5, for the rest of this year. Make your check payable to Village Line Dancers and drop it off at the front desk with the membership form. You may join the Village Line Dancers Club at any time during the year.
